Just days before a massive exhibition opens at the popular New York Museum of Natural History, visitors are being savagely murdered in the museum's dark hallways and secret rooms. Autopsies indicate that the killer cannot be human...

I had seen the movie and gave it a C+. I should have known the book would be beyond comparison. Well written to draw out each moment of breathless suspense.

This book is a really fun read and hard to put down. It also introduces a lot of great interesting characters who are carried out through many later novels, including the mysterious FBI Agent Pendergast. This book was made into a movie in 90's. The movie was ok, but as is usually the case, it just doesn't compare to the book. If you liked Jurassic Park, then you will love Relic. The attention to detail and rich character development will make you wish it will never end, which is a good reason to pick up the sequel...Reliquary!
